Terry Oslund, Vet and PGR member, 10 Apr 2008.

11am Thursday 10 APR 08 Staging opened with Joe Egan as the first contact until I could get there. Four members were there with Joe when I arrived. Joe had started parking our members on the street in front of the church so we didn't use any of the few in the parking lot of the funeral home.

Weather was very blustery and cold; wind gusts just about knocked some of the flag holders off their feet.

11: 15 we did a briefing and at 11:25 we set the flag line. We had 26 members total, (25 in cages, and 1 on a bike). The group was very accommodating and easy to work with. About 11:40 Terry's Daughter and a friend walked the flag line on thanked all of us.

We stood the line for the one hour visitation, and at 1 pm the services started. It appears that there were about 120-130 family and friends there for Terry. The funeral home was so full that they had to set chairs in the lobby for some of them. We stood the line till about 1:15 at which time all our members except the two at the door took a 15 minute break and were back on the line at 1:30 when the service was estimated to be concluded.

The group stood the line until 2:15 at which time the PGR was dissmissed. The members were told that they could leave if they would like, only three did because of commitments they had. The balance stood for another 20 minutes when it started to rain. At this time because of the rain, cold, and wind the PGR were dismissed and all but Joe and Doug quietly retreated. The two of them decided to stay until the service ended.

The PGR at the mission were a great group, a person couldn't ask for better people. I also need to commend all that showed and endured the weather today to honor Terry Oslund, I think it was one of Terry's good friends said "The weather today is really just Terry's way of saying I'm not letting go so easy"
