SPC Wolle Mission Report:

Hi Paul, Thank you and everyone else who attended this mission for David. Being local I can tell you it meant a lot to the family, friends and the community to see us standing out there in the cold honoring not only a soldier but a family member, friend and local kid. Please pass on to George that the grocery store that provided the wonderful coffee that kept us warm is owned by Davids mother and his step dad. They were very glad to have us there and truly appreciated all that we did. As always, you make me proud to be a Patriot Guard. Thank you.

WORTHINGTON SECTOR MEMBERS:

essage below from Comfrey PGR member Scott Brandel Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the mission last Saturday for David Wolle in Comfrey. It was truly a special mission and I was very proud of all who were there. You helped to comfort a grieving family and community during one of their darkest hours. I don't think I'll ever forget the sound of the trucks reving their engines in tribute to this young Hero who left us way too soon.

Below is the official mission report written by George Winslow:

First, it was my honor to act as the RCIC for this mission.

This was a very short notice mission and we also had 4 Send Off's in close proximity of this mission, one at exactly the same time. 21 Patriot Guard Riders showed up for the mission in Comfrey this Saturday, 2 local members even managed to ride their motorcycles to the mission. We even had our friend Gary Saxhaug, RC from Sioux Falls, SD join us, once again proving we have no borders.

We staged at a local park, then moved to the funeral home for the visitation. The local grocery store donated pots of coffee for those on the flag line, and I'd like to thank them for that generous gift, it was very appreciated by those on the flag line. After SPC Wolle was transferred to the hearse for the short ride to St Paul's Catholic Church, we broke the flag line and reset it at the church. After the service started, we broke the flag line and went to the basement of the church to warm up. We kept 8 members at the church for a flag line and the rest went to the cemetery to set up and wait for procession to arrive.

SPC Wolle was also a volunteer fireman in Comfrey, so a lot of communities around Comfrey had fire trucks present, which lead the procession to the cemetery. The fire trucks were followed by our 2 motorcycles, and 1 car carrying PGR members. I believe about 8 close friends of SPC Wolle with 4x4 pickups fell in behind us along with SPC Wolle's 4x4 pickup complete with 3x5 American Flag, Army Flag and POW/MIA Flag, followed by the rest of the funeral procession.

After the interment service was over and people started to leave, the drivers of the 4x4 pickups started up their engines and rev'ed them for a few minutes. They sounded even better than our Harley brothers and were just as moving, they had Lynn in tears. We broke the flag line after the mother and father had left the cemetery.
