Burt Fornshell, 86, USN, WWII Vet, Pillager, MN, 20 AUG 09

The day started with a brisk ride to Pillager in a misty Rain. The rain subsided before the briefing. We had the briefing at the Pillsbury Junction in Pillager. As it turns out the owner is a relative of Mr. Fornshell. After a short ride to the church a flagline was established. When the service began the flagline stood down. Roger and Jim took the cages to the cemetary and re-established the flagline there. Standing untill the family left. The bikes formed in front of the hearse and drove a few blocks then left the procession. I felt the dirt road was to slippery to attempt traversing at slow speeds.

The post mission was at Kc's in Pillager. The burgers were great.

Thank you to everyone who attended. Mrs. Fornshell said "It is amazing 26 people are here even with the rain. Are you sure you aren't the postal service?" The family was so pleased to have the PGR there.
