Howard Hanson, VietNam Vet, Fergus Falls, MN, 06 May 09

We had a great turnout to honor Howard. 18 PGR showed up in the small town of Henning, MN. It was a beautiful Wednesday morning, sunshine with just a very slight breeze, and warm. Most of us had to shed clothes as soon as we got there. The wind did come up a little, but it was just right to fly our flags with. We stood the Flag line before and after the service, then Harley and 7 more riders escorted Howard to his final resting place. The rest of us rode out ahead and set up the Flag line at the Cemetery. Howard was the first resident admitted to the Fergus Falls Veterans home in "98", and he had been in the Minneapolis Home since "83". Howard suffered from exposure to Agent Orange. The Family was very happy that we came, and would NOT take no for an answer to come and eat with them afterwords saying ; "we have plenty of food.... be there". We were thanked many times, and told what a great tribute this was to Howard for his service. We were all proud to stand for this Viet Nam Hero.

Thanks to Harley and Ray for your help, and to all that came to Honor Howard.
