WWII veteran James Albert Clayton

On August 1st 2009 19 members of the MN Patriot Guard assembled in Brownsdale, Minnesota to honor WWII veteran James Albert Clayton, the father of PGR member ARC James Clayton (JC). The flag line was posted at 1:30 pm, and all were standing tall as the family and friends arrived at Our Savior Lutheran Church. A more perfect day could not have been ordered . the right amount of breeze to move our flags, and mild temps for a day that we stood in honor for this veteran. PGR members , after the service started took a break, and then assembled a flag line once again to honor Mr. Clayton and his family as he was brought out of the church. At that point eight of us left for the cemetary, to assemble another flag line . JC and his close family friends, then escorted his father and family to the cemetary, which was a true sight of honored devotion. we all quickly assembled , and stood proud again in Mr. Clayton's honor as the gravesite service took place. now the flags were flying , in a full breeze. it seemed like Mr. Clayton ordered the winds to show us all how a flag should fly.
