William "Bill" Lawrence, Vietnam Veteran, Bemijdi, MN, 13 MAR 10

Fourty Patriot Guard from Minnesota and North Dakota gathered to honor Bill Lawrence's service to our country, at memorial services on 13 Mar 10, at Memorial Hall, Bemidji State Campus in Bemidji. Nine members came on bike, and 2 new members were welcomed for their first mission. It was also new Bemidji ARC Rich Phillips' first time as an RCIC.

Flag line was established at 1:00 p.m. and stood down after the memorial service started at 2:00. At 4:15 p.m. flag line was re-established and military honors were provided by Marine Corps League Det 1109, Park Rapids. 8 bikes provided escort to the funeral home.

After the service, we were treated to sandwiches, wild rice soup and other goodies at the Bemidji American Legion.

Rest in peace Mr. Lawrence - thank you for your service to our country.
