Report

14 PGR members, 1 member from Wis., 1 member from the cities, gathered to honor the surviving members of Marine division from the Korean War at the Korean War Memorial on the lakewalk in Duluth. We drove down the access ramp to the lakewalk and proceeded directly in front of the memorial. I did not realize until I got the pictures from Loretta this morning, that all those standing in front of the memorial rendered our flags a salute. What an awesome honor without realizing it. I know the salutes were directed to our flags but still !!

After the Korean ceremony was over I walked up to each of the Marine veterans, shook their hand, thanking them each for their service and handed them one of our Thank you cards. Each and everyone of them thanked us for being there for them and what we do. Honor, Dignity & Respect says it all.

We then moved our flag line over to the Vietnam memorial for their ceremony. The Northland Vietnam Vets were short on people so Ron and Howard who are also members of the NVVA, assisted their brothers in carrying the cage.

Thank you to all PGR members, especially those who drove a great distance for being there. Hope all made it home safe and thanks again.
