Richard Henry Robbens, MNNG Veteran, Staples, MN, 22 FEB 10

It was a brisk morning as we met to honor Richard Robben. As We gathered the temp was on the rise. 11 patriot guard members were able to make this short notice call. There was a short visitation before the service. While it was hard to duck the press, they were great as always. The local paper is across the street. The Casket was carried acrossed the street from the funeral home to the church. We stood down in the funeral home where we were treated to cookies and coffee. The flagline was reformed at the cemetary leaving 5 members to form a flagline around the back of the hearse. and joining the other 6 as they started the Interment. After all of the family had left we stood down. Debriefing was held at the Spot cafe In Staples.

Several of us In attendance knew him personally. I am Friends with several of his Children. I spoke with the family after on a few occasions. They can not thank us enough. They said it was the most beautiful site they have ever seen. That is enough thanks right there for me to do a million of these. I am so honored to be a member of such a great group of people you are all my family. Thank you.
