Clyde Edward Stueven, 61, Vietnam Veteran, Buffalo, MN, 23 Nov 09

Clyde was a good friend of PGR member Bruce Peters out of Buffalo. 20 PGR members joined to honor a Veteran and friend with a flagline at the Hosanna Lutheran Church in Buffalo. Three came on bikes in the cold dreary morning. Flagline was formed along the entrance sidewalk and driveway to the small parking lot. The parking lot filled quickly with friends and family. Patriot Guard were charged with getting the rest of the many people attending parked in the lawn in front of the church, Jack Foster took charge of the task.

The services started at 11:00 and the PGR stood down until the casket was brought out to the hearse. Once the services ended the flagline formed around the entrance and hearse. Clyde’s casket was brought out with honor guards from many different organizations lining the sidewalk. After the Clyde was brought out the Family and friends went back in to the church for a luncheon before going to the cemetery for interment, so at that time the PGR was dismissed.

Clyde's mission here is complete and he has stood down from his post. We thank him for for putting his country before himself and the service he did as a patriot.

Memories are what a man builds his whole life, some good, some not. The good they cherish, the not they bury. The memories of good live on in the after, the not stay buried.

Rest in peace, Clyde
