Minnesota Patriot Guard HOTH
(Help On The Homefront)

The HOTH committee is made up of Minnesota Patriot Guard members dedicated to serving the following missions:

Vets Homes

MN's five Veterans Homes as well as the VA Medical Centers in Minneapolis and St. Cloud.
We do this by calling BINGO regularly, scheduling holiday events, hunting excursions, bikes shows, ice cream socials, gatherings, visits, etc.

Wounded and Injured.
Support Servicemembers who have been hospitalized due to combat, injury, or illness.
We do this by coordinating homecoming benefits, awarding sizable donations to the soldier upon his/her return, aiding in covering airline costs for family members visiting military hospitals such as Walter Reed, visiting the WIA soldiers, etc.

Families
Support the families of Servicemembers.
We do this on a case-by-case basis. We have worked with local American Legions/VFWs as well as local Family Readiness Groups (FRGs) to identify military families who seem to have slipped through the cracks of conventional aid.

The current leadership structure of the HOTH committee is as follows:

  • HOTH Coordinators:
    State Coordinator – Gregg Campbell
    Assistant Coordinator – Brian Jones

  • Three Regional HOTH Representatives:

    Metro Representative – Greg Studer
    Southern Representative – Gary Miller
    Northern Representative – Yvonne Zappa

  • HOTH Veteran's Home/Medical Center Representatives:
    MPLS Representative – John Foster
Hastings Representative – Pat & Joe Fucile
    Luverne Representative – Buck Underwood
Fergus Falls Representative – Dave Brimer
